CAYA House Aruba

CAYA House Aruba is a Latin-Caribbean restaurant located at J.E. Irausquin Blvd 372 in Noord. Founded in 2022, the restaurant occupies a restored traditional Aruban Cunucu House. CAYA states that the original structure was preserved while being adapted into a setting for contemporary dining inspired by the culinary traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean. The name “CAYA” comes from the Papiamento word for “street.”

The menu celebrates Latin-Caribbean cuisine, drawing inspiration from Aruba and destinations across the Caribbean and Latin America. CAYA describes its cooking as combining traditional flavors with modern techniques, with seafood, meats, tropical ingredients and Latin-Caribbean desserts represented on the menu. Current dishes include options such as scallop ceviche, Tuna al Tamarindo, Caribbean hummus, grilled meats and Tres Leches.

CAYA House combines its restored Cunucu House setting with tropical greenery and several dining spaces. The business highlights its pergola and lounge, while the Aruba Tourism Authority also identifies indoor dining, an outdoor pergola terrace, a courtyard and a private lounge area. Cocktails are part of the restaurant’s offering, alongside its food menu.

The restaurant accommodates regular dining as well as groups and private events. CAYA confirms vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free selections, says some dishes can be adjusted for dietary preferences, and asks guests to communicate allergies or restrictions when booking or arriving. The restaurant is also wheelchair accessible and offers private parking spaces in front of the property.
