About this place
Purely Aruban Artwork is a handmade art shop in Aruba featuring work created by local artists. According to the business, more than 30 artists contribute to the collection, giving visitors an opportunity to explore a broad range of locally made creative work in one location.
The shop’s collection includes paintings, sculptures and wearable art, along with pieces such as fused-glass jewelry, ceramic ornaments, driftwood paintings, papier-mâché figures and woodworking. Individual artists bring different crafts and styles to the shop, so the selection represents several forms of contemporary handmade artwork connected with Aruba.
Purely Aruban Artwork was started in 2016 by founder and artist Sylvia Dania Croes. The business describes its purpose as bringing together artists who create work inspired by Aruba and making their handmade pieces accessible to people interested in locally produced art.
Visitors can find Purely Aruban Artwork at La Cabana Resort & Casino. The Aruba Tourism Authority places La Cabana in the Eagle Beach area, while the business itself confirms that its shop operates from the resort.
