About this event
A celebration of music, food, culture, and entertainment in Aruba
Carubbian Festival Aruba is a cultural festival historically associated with San Nicolas, Aruba’s “Sunrise City.” Official Aruba Tourism Authority material describes the festival as taking place on Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with the main street becoming a pedestrian area for the event.
The festival has been presented as a celebration of Aruba’s multicultural character, combining international music, dance, song, theater, ethnic foods, crafts, traditional customs, and folklore. Official Aruba information also describes a stage area with local entertainers, Aruban and Caribbean cuisine, colorful booths selling food and handicrafts, and activities intended for the whole family.
For visitors, the event offers a way to experience San Nicolas through music, food, cultural performances and local creative work rather than focusing only on Aruba’s beach areas. The official tourism material specifically identifies local entertainers, food, handicrafts and family activities as parts of the festival.
