Calabria Trattoria

Calabria Trattoria is an Italian restaurant located at Metro Mall, Caya Harmonia 1, Unit 23, in the Eagle Beach area of Aruba. The restaurant focuses on traditional Italian and Calabrian cooking, drawing on family recipes connected to Reggio Calabria in southern Italy. Its owner dedicates the restaurant to Nonna Rosa, Mamma Caterina and Zia Angela, who helped teach the recipes and techniques behind the concept.

Calabrian culinary traditions play an important role in the menu. Calabria Trattoria describes its approach in connection with “Cucina Povera,” the tradition of preparing straightforward dishes from available ingredients. The current menu includes pasta, risotto, seafood, chicken dishes, salads and Italian starters.

Pasta selections include Spaghetti Pomodoro, Penne Puttanesca, Fettuccine Bolognese, Linguine alle Vongole, Rigatoni with Calabrese sausage and peppers, Gnocchi Sorrentino and seafood preparations. Seafood options currently include cod prepared Calabrian-style when available, swordfish when available and grilled jumbo shrimp.

Calabria Trattoria also serves pizza from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Its pizza dough is made in-house and cold-fermented for 48 hours. Current varieties include Margherita, Quattro Stagioni, Il Giardino and pizza with house-made Calabrese sausage. Desserts include tiramisu and other selections, while gluten-free pasta is available for an additional charge.

The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and is closed on Sunday. Reservations require a credit card for parties of two or more, with cancellation conditions published by the restaurant.
